4  Look at this extract  written for a violin from an orchestral work and then answer the questions that follow

9a) (i) Give the meaning of :-

Etwas Langsam und traurig      -   rather slow and sadly

Play with a down bow

Repeat this note as quickly as possible for the duration of a crotchet - “tremolo”

“Pizzicato” - pluck the strings with fingers
